Walailak University’s President has officially declared the No Gift Policy for the 2025 fiscal year, reaffirming the university’s commitment to integrity and zero tolerance towards all forms of corruption.

Walailak University President Announces No Gift Policy for Fiscal Year 2025, Reinforcing Anti-Corruption Commitment

On December 25, 2024Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, led the university’s executives and staff in officially declaring the “No Gift Policy” for the 2025 fiscal year, during the 10th Executive Meeting of 2024 held at Chor Pradu Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Chulabhorn Medical Building, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, and via Zoom Meeting.

The policy emphasizes the university’s commitment to not accepting any gifts or gratuities in the course of official duties, during any festival or occasion, as part of its strong stance against all forms of corruption.

Furthermore, on December 26, 2024, the President reiterated the No Gift Policy during the Budget Planning Policy Briefing for Fiscal Year 2026, held at Phattharathammaphon Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Building C, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital.

Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, has emphasized transparent and ethical governance as a core principle in university administration. The aim is to build public trust and confidence in Walailak University as a model of good governance, where all operations are carried out with responsibility, honesty, and integrity.

In line with this commitment, the President has declared the No Gift Policy for Fiscal Year 2025, stating that executives and staff must not accept any gifts or rewards related to their official duties, whether before or after such duties are performed. This policy applies to all occasions and festivals, and is designed to prevent any form of misconduct or corruption, both now and in the future.

The President further stressed the importance of fighting all forms of corruption, promoting a culture of honesty, and striving to build a strong and sustainable ethical organization. This aligns with the university’s vision:
“A righteous organization, a center of learning, a pillar of the region, and a global leader.”

To formalize this commitment, Walailak University has issued an official announcement outlining the No Gift Policy, which all executives and staff are required to acknowledge and strictly adhere to.
