On Tuesday, 28 October 2025, the Division of Planning and Strategy held the workshop at the Pattaradhammaporn Meeting Room, Building C, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

The workshop aimed to:

1. Facilitate a participatory review of the Walailak University Strategic Development Plan (2025–2027) for Fiscal Year 2026, involving senior executives and administrators from all university units through both top-down and bottom-up approaches; and

2. Develop a revised draft of the Walailak University Strategic Development Plan (2025–2027) for Fiscal Year 2026 for submission to the Walailak University Council at its 10/2025 meeting, scheduled for 8 November 2025.

A total of 69 participants attended the workshop, including senior executives, administrators from all university units, and their representatives.

The strategic plan review was initiated in response to the dynamic and continuous changes arising from both internal and external factors. These changes have significantly affected the University, requiring it to adapt promptly to an increasingly competitive environment. One of the University’s key approaches is to regularly review its strategic plan to ensure alignment with its performance outcomes, changing circumstances, and potential risks—both present and future.

As an outcome of the workshop, the participants resolved to streamline the strategic plan for Fiscal Year 2026 by reducing the number of performance indicators from 54 to 30.
