Walailak University Congratulates Three Faculty Members on Their Royal Appointments to the Rank of Professor.
On 2 December 2025, the Royal Thai Government Gazette website published an announcement from the Office of the Prime Minister regarding appointments to the academic rank of Professor.
The announcement stated that His Majesty the King had graciously appointed 33 university employees from institutions across Thailand to the rank of Professor in various academic disciplines, effective from the respective dates on which they fully met all required qualifications.
Among the appointees were three faculty members from Walailak University who were graciously appointed to the academic rank of Professor, as follows:
Associate Professor Jitbanjong Tangpong of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, was appointed Professor in Medical Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, effective from 16 January 2020.
Associate Professor Apichai Wattanapisit of the School of Medicine, Walailak University, was appointed Professor in Family Medicine, School of Medicine, Walailak University, effective from 21 September 2021.
Associate Professor Saifon Aekwarangkoon of the School of Nursing, Walailak University, was appointed Professor in Nursing, School of Nursing, Walailak University, effective from 11 November 2022.
The announcement was issued on 1 December 2025 and countersigned by Mr. Sophon Saram, Deputy Prime Minister.
