The Division of Planning and Strategy, Walailak University, organized a practical workshop titled “Risk Management under the COSO Enterprise Risk Management—Integrating with Strategy and Performance Framework (COSO ERM 2017)” from 29 to 30 June 2026 at the Pattaradhammaporn Meeting Room on the ninth floor of Walailak University Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Pipatpan Suwanakson, Head of the Division of Planning and Strategy, presided over the opening ceremony.

The workshop aimed to strengthen the knowledge, understanding, and risk management skills of internal control committees at the operational-unit level and other relevant personnel. Participants learned how to apply the COSO ERM 2017 framework and connect risk management with their units’ objectives, strategies, and performance in practical and measurable ways.

Throughout the workshop, participants exchanged knowledge and gained hands-on experience in developing risk management plans and establishing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). KRIs are essential tools for monitoring early warning signs, supporting organizational decision-making, and enabling units to respond promptly to uncertainty.

The dedication and active participation demonstrated throughout the two-day workshop reflected an important message: risk management does not have to be difficult or tedious. Instead, it can create opportunities for learning, improvement, and sustainable growth.
