Today (March 8, 2024), Professor Dr. Somboon Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University, signed a memorandum of understanding between Walailak University and Mae Fah Luang University to collaborate on research, education, and academic services.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Palipoh, Vice President of Walailak University, and Associate Professor Dr. Darunee Watthanasevi, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, along with the executive teams from both institutions. The event took place at the Chiang Saen Room, Wanchai Sirichana Building, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai.

The agreement aims to drive joint academic efforts to maximize the benefits for research, education, and academic services of both institutions. The areas of collaboration include joint research and development projects on mutually agreed topics, with both parties negotiating the specifics of each project.

Additionally, the agreement encompasses support for the exchange of faculty and students, academic seminars, and the provision of academic services to students, organizations, private sector entities, communities, and the general public interested in enhancing their knowledge and understanding across various disciplines, within a framework of five years.
