Executives and Dean of Walailak University’s School of Medicine Visit Burapha University to Exchange Best Practices in Medical Education Management
On Friday, June 20, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Suwit Wutthisutthimethawee, Vice President, together with the executive team from the School of Medicine and staff from the Planning and Strategy Division, visited the Faculty of Medicine at Burapha University in Chonburi Province for a study visit and knowledge exchange. The purpose of the visit was to enhance understanding of the management processes and operations of the Doctor of Medicine program, including comprehensive teaching and learning management as well as student support systems.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Taweelarp Tansawat, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Burapha University, along with the executive team and relevant personnel, warmly welcomed the delegation from Walailak University. The visit included in-depth presentations on curriculum management, as well as tours of departments involved in teaching and learning management, student support systems, and internal operations of Burapha University Hospital.
This study visit and knowledge exchange aimed to foster dialogue and the sharing of best practices between two of the country’s leading medical institutions. The key focus areas included the management of tuition fees for the Doctor of Medicine program, the development of student support systems, and hospital administration within a university setting. The insights gained are expected to contribute to the enhancement and optimization of internal operations at the School of Medicine, Walailak University. Moreover, this occasion served as a valuable opportunity for both universities to expand their knowledge and experience, strengthening the medical education system in Thailand to better meet societal needs. The visit also helped establish a collaborative network between medical education institutions with a shared goal of elevating the quality and standards of education. The knowledge and practices exchanged during the visit will be adapted and applied to suit the context of Walailak University moving forward.
