Walailak University, through its Planning and Strategy Division, hosted a hands-on workshop titled “Integrating Risk Management and Internal Control” from June 30 to July 1, 2025, at the Bussarakam Conference Room, located in the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum Building. The event welcomed 110 participants, including university executives, internal control assessment committee members from various departments, and other relevant personnel.

The workshop was honored by Dr. Avirut Chatmalathong, Director of the Risk Management Center at Chulalongkorn University, who served as the keynote speaker. He shared valuable insights and experiences on organizational-level risk management.

The primary objective of the workshop was to promote a systematic understanding of integrated risk management and internal control principles. It aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze, assess, and prepare internal control reports accurately and effectively.

The learning atmosphere was warm and collaborative, with open discussions and idea exchanges. The Internal Audit Unit played a mentoring role, providing close guidance during the workshop activities.

According to the post-event evaluation, participants expressed the highest level of satisfaction, with an average score of 4.55 out of 5 across content quality, delivery methods, and overall event management. Moreover, participants demonstrated a clear improvement in their knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.

Feedback from attendees will be used to enhance future activities, contributing to the development of a robust and sustainable risk management and internal control system within the university.
